-What's the difference between Bioasshard Arena and Bioasshard? 

Bioasshard Arena can be considered as a Testbed for Bioasshard. Once all the main necessary mechanics are implemented (on the Arena), we will start with the main game (Bioasshard). 


-How do I join the discord server?

To get access to the discord server you need to link your discord account on your Patreon/SubStar account, then you'll get access and a role automatically.


RELEASES & VERSIONS

-Release dates

We cannot guarantee any release date. Because there are many factors affecting them:

1-It depends on how big the update is. It's not the same an update based on bugfixing than one based on adding new content, gameplay, mechanics, etc.

2-We have other projects in the work.

3-Unexpected bugs...

So, with that said: New releases for this and other projects will be available when they are ready, neither before nor after.


-Where is the Patreon version? / Where is the XX $ version?

This game has only one version and is the same for everyone. The Fantasy Cards (only for Patrons/Supporters) are what makes the difference. So, get your cards and input the codes on the game.

-How can I download the 0.0.x / 0.x.0 versions of the game?

We don't provide old Bioasshard versions anymore, they're outdated and were eating a lot of our storage. You can always download the latest version.


-Where can I find the most recent version / the most recent Fantasy Cards?

-What's the state of the project?

To get the latest info on the project's development simply read the 'Dev reports' on Patreon or 'Dev reports' on SubStar.

There are also free Monthly Recaps.


-What's with the version numbers?

This one is easy: The version numbers are like this: XX.YY.ZZ

Where XX marks the overall state of the project. So when that reaches 1 it means the project is now fully complete. Playable from beggining to end.

YY grows whenever a big update is made. To put it simple, an example in Bioasshard (the game, not the Arena) would be whenever a new chapter/mission is added, this number will grow in one.

ZZ grows per small update, tweaking stuff, bugfixing, etc. Mainly bugfixing. And it'll probably change to reflect how many changes were made instead of just adding +1. So if we add 5 fixes to the current 0.0.3, the number would be 0.0.8 and so on.


-There will be a release for Linux?

 "I've been looking into it but right now there's 2 cons. The procedure to get the build done... It involves a lot more than just building it in UE4. And the other one is the shader model. I've read some people talking about SM5 not being compatible with Linux builds. I'll have to look at it deeper when the next release gets close and see if we can manage to get it to work (but it would be completely untested).

-There will be a release for MAC?

The game is only for Windows at this moment and this is also a statement from Epic Games: "we cannot provide support for compiling from Windows to Mac as Apple do not provide an SDK & toolchain to do so. I do not expect this to change, so building projects for Mac will always require a Mac for compilation. You’ll also always need a Mac for testing." (and we don't have a mac :/)



ER*TIC CONTENT

-About Fetishes

A lot of people requests fetishes to be added on the game, unfortunately we can’t add all the fetishes in the world ^^ so we need to do a selection based in some specific parameters:

1 – It has to be a Fetish that both (Meg and I) like.

2 – Will this fetish be ‘playable’ aka Sexttack or only as a story CG?

3 – If it is playable: how difficult would it be to implement on the combat system? (Programming stuff)

4 – And finally: Animations. Are animations easy enough to make or not?


-Will it feature X-Rays?

That's something to keep in mind (for the game, not the arena) if we manage to implement a fluid sim system. 


-Will it feature Pr*gnancy?

Currently the Arena features infl*tion. This affects to the movement speed and the visibility mainly.


 -Will it feature B*rthing?

As of now there's only infl*tion on it, there's no plans yet for anything deeper than that in that aspect. 


-Will there be bad end H-scenes? like loosing to specific enemies or bosses gives 'special' GO screen.

You can consider the big guys Sexttack in the Arena as one. Also the Boss on Mission 6 can eat you and if that happens you'll get another one.



STORY & CHARACTERS

-Will the game feature male protagonist too?

Yes. There will be Male and Female protagonists in the game (not in the Arena). You can see one on the VXS Patreon header. Chris.


-If there are going to be male characters in the game, will there be female zombies?  

Yeah! There will be female 'beauties'.



GAMEPLAY

-Will it feature a Corr*ption system?

With the S*xttack system being reworked, something along those lines will be in place for the game. Not too deep though, meaning no story related changes based on that 'param' but gameplay. 


-Will 'XXX' creature/enemy be added to the game?

We'd like to add a lot of the RE inspired fauna. But obviously, they won't be a 1:1 copy but more like based on it and adapted to the lore of Bioasshard.


-Help! The knife is useless!

Actually the survival knife is not that useless. But to inflict more damage you have to use as if it was a fire weapon, i.e. aim for critical parts. Hitting the legs is not the same as hitting the chest or the head.


-Will there be a Save System?

There is no save system implemented for the arena. The game will have its proper save system. 


-"I DON’T LIKE ‘X’ AREA ON THE ARENA" 

Every area on the arena has its purpose for testing stuff so no area will be removed/changed. Also take into account these areas possibly won’t be on the game.


-Number of Unlockables: 

Besides the customization options (3 in total), right now there's a total of 9 cosmetic unlockables since version 0.3.198 Rev.2. and 6 weapons.


-How to Unlock Them: 

You have to complete certain requirements for every one of them (like completing a Mission; getting more than X% of accuracy; killing more than X enemies, etc.). More info about this can be found on the WIP walkthrough linked on SubStar and Patreon (check the aforementioned Project list to find it).



FEATURES

-Will it feature voices?

This is a feature we'd like to have. But currently we can't afford it. Hopefully, we'll be able to have voices in the future, thanks to your support!


-Will it feature a Menu/Special Room/Gallery to see the animations? 

Yes. Not in the Arena but in the game itself.


-Would it be too much work to add in RGB/Rainbow sliders for the customization? 

About the RGB/Rainbow Slider, we'll have to take a look at it and see if we can implement it that way. That would give a lot more options/freedom indeed.



BUGS AND OTHER PROBLEMS

-"Fatal Error (short)"

If you keep experiencing the 'Fatal Error' with this release, maybe it's related to an engine internal (and random) problem. You can take a look by yourself just by searching in google about the UE4 Fatal Error and you'll see it happens to almost every game (including the one made by Epic themselves: Fortnite as well as others like DBZ FighterZ, ARK, etc.). Hopefully this won't be the case.


-"Fatal Error (long)"

So, this is a common error for everyone working with UE4. If someone working with it never experienced this it's basically because he/she is not making a game xD. You can search in google and you'll find plenty of examples. It happens on LOTs of mainstream games, including but not limited to ARK, DBZ FighterZ, Fortnite, ... And Epic seem to be doing nothing to fix those.

Apart from those, there may be some other Fatal Errors that can be caused by lack of free memory available in the GPU or it also can be that a new implemented mechanic is not very well optimized and can cause a memory leak that will end up crashing into the "Fatal Error". As of version 0.2.105 (and 0.2.105 AMD) we made a BIG optimization pass to the Arena, fixing the "Fatal Error" caused by unoptimization. 

If even then you keep suffering from it, then contact us via PM through here so we can ask for crash reports to see what's exactly happening.


LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 198]

Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost. (Error: Ox887A0006 - 'HUNG')

LowLevelFatalError are usually tied to specific hardware/software problems/conflicts within a specific machine.

In this case, it's related to your gpu.

I tried making a quick search for that error and quite a few results (obviously all unreal engine games related)

You can see some people reporting it to the UE forums here:

And also found a link to a tutorial with different possible fixes and the people on the comments say they fixed, but I just can't confirm it nor recommend it, since it's not something I experienced:

LowLevelFatalError [File:Unkown] [Line: 724] 

BulkData compressed header read error. This package may be corrupt!

Low Level Errors are usually related to something on user-end machine/software.

It may be caused by different and unrelated things like:

- You didn't uncompress the folder and tried to play it from within the .rar file

- You're trying to play it from a folder that requires admin rights (like C:/ Program Files /) [It's recommended to don't even try to play it on the same drive where your OS is installed if you have more than one drive, because sometimes Windows can get very picky]

- Your antivirus is blocking the access to some required file


-I can't uncompress the .rar... HELP!!!

Be sure to update to the latest Winrar version (5.50+).


-I can't customize the character! / How can I change the outfits?

Keep in mind that you need to unlock the customization options meeting the requirements. Then you need to unlock the outfits as well. You can find a list of requirements on the WIP walkthrough linked on SubStar and Patreon (check the Project List to find it).


NOT IN THE ARENA BUT...

There is a set of questions that are repeated a lot lately and although they are different from each other, the answer to all of them is very similar: Not in the Arena but...


-Will there be new types of enemies on the next version?

Not in the arena but in the game there will be a lot of new enemies.

-Can we face the boss's minions separately?

Not in the arena but in the game.

-Will there be new boss on the next version?

Not in the arena but there will be different bosses on the game.

-Will there be new sexy animations on the next version?

Not in the arena but in the game there will be alot of new sexy animations.

-Will there be a way to get Julia fully naked?

Not in the Arena but maybe in the game.


The Arena is almost finished (only 2 versions left) after that we'll start the game itself with the juicy stuff we all want.


LEGAL

-The risk to get a C&D Letter...

We've taken some measures to avoid that 'risk' as much as possible. 

In any case, this problem will always be present when working on fangames.
